Correlation as a measure for alignment and similarity of human motions

چکیده

The ability to measure similarity and alignment of motions is a key tool in motion retrieval editing. Similarity metrics based on distance functions are often utilized when measuring human motions, however, correlation can also potentially useful for alignment. This paper evaluates the use as method compares them against more established distance-based metrics. Three methods five parameterising rotation evaluated. results show that parameterization displacement vectors Kendall Tau rank optimal between two motions. If an approach angular or positional should be used.

A new Structural Similarity Measure for Ontology Alignment

several methods have been suggested for Ontology Alignment problem, each exploits some measures and uses of their combinations in order to come up with higher quality of alignment. A group of such measures are especially based on structural position of the entities in ontologies, the corresponding measures of which are named Structural Measures. This paper is about to present a new method for c...

A New Similarity Measure Based on Item Proximity and Closeness for Collaborative Filtering Recommendation

Recommender systems utilize information retrieval and machine learning techniques for filtering information and can predict whether a user would like an unseen item. User similarity measurement plays an important role in collaborative filtering based recommender systems. In order to improve accuracy of traditional user based collaborative filtering techniques under new user cold-start problem a...

similarity measure for two densities

scott and szewczyk in technometrics, 2001, have introduced a similarity measure for twodensities f1 and f2 , by1, 21 21 1 2 2( , ), ,f fsim f ff f f f< >=< >< >wheref1, f2 f1(x, θ1)f2(x, θ2)dx.+∞−∞< >=∫sim(f1, f2) has some appropriate properties that can be suitable measures for the similarity of f1 and f2 .however, due to some restrictions on the value of parameters and the kind of densities, ...
